With the NCAA National College Basketball tournament wrapping up soon, it's hard not to get excited for the final games! Especially for the wildly devoted University of Kentucky fans in Lexington, it was exciting to watch the Wildcats defeat #1 ranked Ohio State on Friday and UNC earlier today. With only one more game to win (facing UConn) to advance to the Finals, you bet all of Lexington will be on the edge of their seats. I'm not nearly as big a fan as many Lexington locals, but it's easy to get excited when nearly the entire city erupts with cheers and high-fives.
Next weekend will mark the end of Macrh Madness, so, readers, which team do you think will be the 2011 NCAA Champion?
I haven't really followed the NCAA this year, but I do love when a whole town gets into a sport. It's great when you win :P
ReplyDeleteyeah, sounds really nice.
ReplyDeleteYeah, sports are one of the few things that can bring entire towns together!
ReplyDeletegreat stuff, thanks for the post
ReplyDeleteNever really been into college basketball for some reason :/
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun being in the middle of the action. I've never really gotten into amateur sport for whatever reason. NCAA just isn't my thing - nor are most American sports.
ReplyDeletei was really disappointed the gators lost, but i'm still pumped for the games coming up!
ReplyDeleteNo idea, I cant say that i see to much ncaa where i live :P
ReplyDeletegreat post. following you
ReplyDeleteI have not followed as much a part of basketball, would like to read a little more about basketball.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad somebody's team is still in it. I had to suffer through a stretch with the Gophers losing 10 of their last 11 games.
ReplyDeleteHope Butler can beat UConn!
ReplyDeletea little pissed butler loss to UConn. was pulling for a kentucky v butler final, i just like calipari more than calhoun.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a good year for teams from Kentucky, but not as good as those from Connecticut. . .
ReplyDeletei keep waiting for an update i enjoy the read here.
ReplyDeleteGood for you guys, that you got so far. Can't say I keep up on basketball, but it sounds awfully exciting!
